The story of a photographer
So, first things first, I'm British. Lets just get that out of the way to stop the awkward "Is he English or Australian?" question I'm sure you will have after I open my mouth!
I moved to Phoenix, Az in 2019, following my heart after meeting the love of my life outside of a NY city bar on Halloween 2015. 4 years of back and forth between NY and London, we found ourselves in the stunning backdrop of the Arizonian desert and have never looked back. We now have our beautiful son Rafferty (he pops up on my Instagram from time to time), and are constantly looking for our next adventure.
My personal photography adventure started when I was 8 years old. Specifically at Brooklands Motor Museum in Surrey, UK, where I was trying my best to impress my Dad with taking photos of vintage Ferraris. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew I was having fun. When we got the photos back, I remember sitting with my Dad and watching the shock on his face as he thumbed through the photos, everything in focus and even positioned with a certain artistic arrangement. "These are great! You have a real eye for photography!" That was all I needed to hear from him to know that I had found something new and special in my life.
I spent the next 20 years listening to the people around me, telling me that photography wasn't ever going to be enough of a job for me and I needed to focus on something more serious............and I listened.
So, I went to University, graduated with a degree in Advertising & Media Communications, had no idea what to do with myself, so immediately packed my bags and left for a year long adventure in Australia and South East Asia. After getting home, I bounced around for a while working in everything from luxury real estate to the world of sugar and oil trading for Goldman Sachs. After a few years, everything came full circle when my Dad passed away and I realized that I needed to do what I wanted to do, and I needed to do it now!
Fast forward 13 years, I have worked all over the world for some incredible companies, met fantastic clients and had the privilege and honor to shoot numerous weddings and be a part of their special day.
Now, I'm the Dad to my son, and my spare time is spent chasing adventures with my family.
